Meredith Wallis

CNM, ANP, IBCLC

Meredith Wallis is a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM), Nurse Practitioner (NP), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and certified barre fitness instructor. She was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, then spent most of her adult life living in Juneau, Alaska. Meredith lived in Bangkok, Thailand from the fall of 2017 until the spring of 2020. She currently resides in Albuquerque where she gave birth to her first baby, Elliott, in May, 2020! Meredith and her family plan to move to Rabat, Morocco in October, 2020.

Meredith attended school at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009 to become a Registered Nurse. She then went directly into a Masters program to become a CNM, graduating in 2011. While Meredith’s schooling was all hospital-based, she has spent her career in out-of-hospital birth. Meredith worked at a free-standing birth center in Juneau from 2011-2013, before starting her own home birth practice in 2014.

When it comes to pregnancy, birth, and parenting, Meredith believes that every family deserves to be treated with respect and to receive high quality, accurate information about their healthcare. She is passionate about true informed choice in healthcare.
